What we collect
We only collect what you give us. Depending on how you reach us, that may include:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- What you are looking for — the kind of property or project, your budget range, your timescale, where you are based and which areas interest you.
- Anything else you choose to tell us in a message, on a call or in an attachment, including site details and drawings.
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit this website, such as the pages you opened and the general region you opened them from.
We do not ask for and do not want your bank details, card numbers, passwords or government identification through this website or through any advertisement. If anyone asks you for those in our name, it is not us.
How we collect it
- Forms on this website, which are delivered to us by Formspree.
- Registration forms attached to our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, which are operated by Meta.
- Email, telephone and WhatsApp.
- Agents and partners introducing you to one of our developments, where you have asked them to.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We hold your details on the basis of your consent, given when you send us a message or complete one of our forms. We use them to:
- Reply to you and answer what you asked.
- Send you the material you requested — price lists, floor plans, payment plans, guides and project information.
- Keep you informed about the development you enquired about as it is built.
- Tell you about future developments we think will suit what you described. This is the reason we keep your details after a particular project is sold, and you can stop it at any time.
Where we have entered into a contract with you, we also hold what we need to perform that contract and to meet our legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone to use for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and only on our instructions: Formspree for website form delivery, Meta for advertising and registration forms, Google for the spreadsheets in which we keep enquiries, and our email and hosting providers. Some of these companies are based outside Nigeria, which means your information may be stored on servers abroad.
Where you are introduced to us by an agent acting on a development, or where you ask us to work with your solicitor, surveyor or lender, we will share what is necessary with them for that purpose.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and measurement
This website uses the Meta Pixel, which tells us how many people reached a page from one of our advertisements and allows us to show our advertisements again to people who have visited. It does not tell us who you are by name.
We do not run any other analytics or tracking on this website.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit advertising tracking in your Facebook and Instagram account settings. The site works without them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and registration details for as long as they are useful to the conversation, and for up to three years after we last heard from you. After that we delete them unless you have asked us to keep you on our list, or unless we are required to retain records relating to a transaction.
You do not have to wait three years. Ask us and we will delete your details straight away.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Have anything inaccurate corrected.
- Have your information deleted.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, which stops us contacting you further.
- Object to how we are using your information, or ask us to restrict it.
- Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you are not satisfied with our answer.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, equivalent rights apply to you under the data protection law that covers you, and you may complain to your own regulator.
To use any of these rights, email studio@inklinedesigns.com. We will respond within thirty days. We do not charge for this.
Keeping it safe
Access to enquiry records is limited to the people in the practice who need them. Our accounts are protected by passwords and, where the service allows it, two-step verification. No system is perfect, and if something happens to your information that is likely to harm you, we will tell you and we will report it as the law requires.
Children
This website and our developments are marketed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use your information will be notified to you directly where we hold your email address.
